Visit to Lasse Sand in Sweden

In Sweden, a legal requirement for pasture access has been in place since 1988, thanks in part to a widely accepted societal norm. Not only dairy cows, but also young cattle aged six months and older are required to go outside.

The video shows a compilation of the visit to Lasse Sand

At the farms visited, it became clear that automation doesn't have to be a barrier to grazing. Quite the opposite. The intelligent use of smart gates, rotation plots, guided cow traffic, and good grass management make it possible to let cows out voluntarily and efficiently—even on stony soil and during the short Swedish growing season.
