Connection across borders

Automatic milking is no longer unique to the Netherlands. Around a third of our dairy farmers now use a milking robot, and this trend is growing rapidly throughout Europe. Farmers from Ireland to Germany are facing the same questions: how can you combine robotic milking with successful grazing?

In Ireland, it's all about making the most of grass. Danish dairy farmers set the bar high with strict grazing management. And in Germany, there is a lot of experimentation with smart techniques to allow cows to move smoothly between the robot and the pasture.

What unites us? A shared curiosity, the same challenges and the drive to become smarter together. That is why we are now bringing this international knowledge together in one community: Robot & Weiden, where boundaries fade and ideas grow.

Six ways to join the discussion

  • Article: Share your insights, experiences or research results.
  • Question: Present your challenge to colleagues from across Europe.
  • Statement: Throw a provocative thought into the group and see what happens.
  • Tip: Small discoveries, smart solutions or practical tips.
  • Video: Show how you do it, from robot routing to pasture layout.
  • Your own topic: Anything that doesn't fit into a box, but is valuable nonetheless.
