The Robot & Grazing? For Eachother! project is an initiative of
NAJK, Netwerk GRONDig and Aeres University of Applied Sciences.
We are working on a flexible registration system that truly suits dairy farmers who combine robotic milking and grazing. A system that could offer an alternative to the current requirement of 120 days with a minimum of 6 hours of grazing. This requires a new, reliable and practical approach — one that supports farmers rather than locking them into a strict regime.
Robotic milking and grazing deserve a registration system that adapts to practical circumstances. And we really need your insights to achieve this. How can we register grazing hours in a smarter, fairer and more user-friendly way? Do you encounter limitations in the current system, or do you have an innovative idea that could make a difference?
Share your insights and help us develop a registration method that truly works for dairy farmers with a robot.
The current assessment and reward for grazing do not or insufficiently align with the practical feasibility of grazing for robotic companies. Therefore, the current assessment system of grazing is evaluated in this project, and alternative solutions are being considered.
Analyze and assess the current system
Investigate where the needs and opportunities lie to encourage grazing on robotic farms.
Research which other assessment methodologies align with the above needs.
Clarify how this leads to more grazing hours
Registration can be organised in many ways. Robot companies distinguish themselves through their use of high-quality technologies. These technological possibilities offer opportunities to develop a suitable, reliable and future-proof form of registration, whereby grazing is guaranteed in a smart and practical way.
