A mobile milking robot is an innovative concept where an automatic milking robot is used in a movable manner, for example in combination with intensive grazing or in a more flexible business operation.

This can offer advantages for farmers who want to milk their cows more in the pasture without having to return to the barn each time.
The use of mobile milking robots in the Netherlands is currently limited and is in the pioneering phase. Although the concept was introduced a few years ago, only a handful of dairy farmers have actually implemented this technology.
The technology offers potential, but large-scale adoption has yet to occur.
